I don't know if we can do this but I would be interested in a survey of combinations, like the survey of general configurations that was done. For example:

RR without a black roof or strips.
RR with white stripes
RR with black stripes
RR with white stripes and a black roof
RR with black stripes and a black roof.
RR with a black roof - what I have on order but could still change.
Ordered mine naked, lol. No stripes or black roof.

Full disclosure upfront...i am not trolling here. I just want to express my opinion on this color.

I owned a 2014 RR Explorer and the color on that was awesome. I got so many compliments about it and I loved it myself. However when Ford announced the RR for the GT350, I was a bit surprised they chose it for this car. Obviously there are a number of you that love this color for this car and Ford knows what they are doing but I think the RR does not do any justice for this car. I dont feel its a 'race' color and that it hides a lot of the lines that i love about this car. Hell, i am sure more than enough of you would say the same about my color choice in the TY R. :D

As with any car, there are certain colors that I think work and those that dont.

Now that i have spoken my peace, enjoy your color choice and the beast that you own as we are all one big proud family! :ford:
What colors do you think are more appropriate for this car?

Every other color they made thus far.
Color has several characteristics; hue, value, saturation. What my retina receives as light is interpreted by my brain. Anywhere along that pathway, the light is a function of the density of rods and cones in my retina, and my own interpretation of what I am "seeing" with my mind. To some degree, each of us may have a slight or extensive colorblindness. So the Ruby Red you see may be significantly different from the Ruby Red that I see. For all I know you could be seeing Ruby Green and we both merely name the color Ruby Red. The eye is most sensitive to green wavelengths, much less red, and very little blue, during the day. This is photopic vision. At night, our color sensitivity shifts to become highly sensitive to green, much more sensitive to blue, and much, much less sensitive to red. This is scotopic vision. What I am describing to you means that each of us sees color differently, can pick out detail differently, and appreciates what we see differently.

For what it is worth I drove the attached TY 2015 GT350 ~300 miles this past weekend and was and still am in love with this color.

Having said that after spending a fair amount of miles with this 2015 Race Red GT350 this past weekend I have gravitated over to the Race Red car from the Triple Yellow car but it is still a very close vote.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and from a personal standpoint I always gravitate to Red and Black cars but that is just me.

For what it is worth all of the females that looked at these two cars this past weekend all chose the TY car as their favorite color and all of the males chose the RR GT350 as their favorite of the two.

Obviously the two different genders look at colors from a different perspective and that is pretty cool.

Lastly, I ordered my 2017 R in Ruby Red and can't wait to take possession of her on Tuesday, July 26th!!

That's a awesome weekend. Both colors look really good. But Ruby Red is still my favorite.
Sign me up for one of your road trips.
Cheers.

My Ruby Red got her Xpel bumper and bikini hood treatment today. That is seriously what it's called. Monday is window tint day.

Now that I have put a ton of miles on the car (nearly 80) I couldn't be more thrilled with the GT350. The clutch is perfect - factory springs and all - and the engine is unlike anything I've driven in years. Technically less powerful than my CLS63, it feels much stronger and I routinely find myself shifting at 4500-5000 around town because that feels normal in the car. Really unlike the GM LS engines that seem to encourage you to shift around 3000 on the roads. It's so obnoxious when I start it up that I get a smile every time. Also glad my neighbor is a Ford employee and loves the car.

You have to appreciate our buddy "Mustang Manny" over in Vegas and what he is asking for his cars!

I bought pretty much the same 2017 Shelby GT350 as this one as advertised on eBay except I added a Black roof along with the Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat paint and also added the base 920A R model option and paid less than his opening bid.

Can't wait to pick up my R model in less than a week!

;)
