Drove by the dealership on the way home after dinner this evening just to see what they may have gotten in, and there it was. Ruby red Roush RS3, 68K. Absolutely gorgeous. I didn't ask to drive it but I did sit it in and rev the engine a bit. Man, that exhaust sound in sport or track is just impressive. Mean and aggressive, a deep and throaty growl. Much better than the stock GT exhaust sound.

Not a big fan of the stick-on hood and side scoops, but I have to say that the car was amazing looking. Love the front fascia and the rear valence with the quad exhaust.

It was an auto, which knocks it out of consideration for me, but they have a Magnetic RS3 with a 6MT as well. 69K. It was parked around back in the dark, couldn't see it very well, I'll have to go back tomorrow and look more closely.

I have been waiting for next summer to locate a GT350, but I'm thinking an RS3 might be just the ticket instead. All of the S550 refinements that I love along with the massive HP and torque I've been missing since trading the '14 GT500 in on the GT. I can see myself doing this. I'm such an idiot. lol

rs3 is badass yes. I'm not sure if the insurance counts as just a GT or not though so you could possibly save more there but probably not much.

you could always turn your car into an rs3 though (kinda what I'm doing over time, somewhat) without it being numbered and without roush's $20k signature...and save a lot of money. Although if I could have an RS3 I would but yeah it would be a tough battle between it and a gt350.

I'd be interested to know how a rs3 compares to gt350 on a road course though with the roush suspension and having more power over a gt350. maybe I should make a rs3 spec'd gt in forza 6 and compare it to the gt350 lol.

I'm sure it's a beast, but for $69k you could get a GT350 in a year or two and then drop another $15k in mods. Ya know?

I had the same dilemma. I was lucky enough to visit the Roush plant in Michigan a few months ago. I was truly impressed with the workmanship of these vehicles. There's a lot more than just slapping a supercharger charger into a stage 3. I drove one in Indiana and the exhaust note is amazing.
For me, 670 horses is a little intimidating. I've no stranger to power but how much is too much? I'm going with the Gt350. I've always wanted a Shelby and I can't wait to drive it. However, there is something about a race red stage 3 that makes me second guess that decision. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

^^THIS!
I have a 2013 GHIG Roush Stage 3 and I LOVE the car. It is truly awesome. There is a lot of quality control that goes on from each stage build of the car.
I've been thinking of trading in for a 2016 GT350R though. (Not sure as my car runs killer and has more power and more torque. Plus, it seems like it'll be like a witch hunt trying to find a dealer with allocation as I want my own build and that pesky ADM. I refuse to pay a crazy ADM.) Both the RS3 and the GT350R do sound amazing.
Good luck with your choice!
