Looking at getting out of my ecoboost in the next year and decided I won't be getting an 18MY GT like I had planned. Based on some research on Autotrader, it looks like I may be able to get into a USED roush stage 2 or a USED California Special in my price range. Which would you guys pick? It would be my only car

I feel like the CS is a sticker package. There's never really any great redeeming features aside from aesthetics for those cars. Depending upon the Roush Stage 2, you may get more bang for your buck if it already has suspension/motor work/exhaust done to it.

I'd go for the Roush. To this day I still think they've made the sexiest wheels for the car.

I'll definitely make sure to drive both before making a decision :) interesting comment jasonstang...anything specific about the RS2 over the CS?

Also, am I right in saying an RS2 would be a similar price used to a CS in the next year? 2015 RS2 2016 CS. It's hard to find that information

Like people said the California Special is mostly cosmetic stuff on top of a premium package.
With that being said I think the RS2 you get more stuff and of course more expensive.

Not sure they cost about the same then. I'm looking at a 2016 CS for less than 33k with auto and 401a.

they don't cost the same...new...rs2 is a whole lot more money.

used however is different. rs2 still has pp unless it's an auto. cs doesn't either way...nor does a cs have roush exhaust, fascia, etc.

I really likes the looks of the C/S. They're pretty unique and rare.

I have a CS and if I had this choice I would take the Roush 9 times out of 10. Used though, test drive them and make your choice. The Cali Special really is only extra cosmetic stuff. Black mirrors, black heat extractors, spoiler, special grill, black side and hood stickers and CS machined wheels
