Evening,

For those of you who have installed can someone tell me how the stupid template is supposed to be fitted? Is there any method besides just picking a spot. It doesn't really seem to line up to anything in particular in the picture.

I am sure I am missing something but its late and I am getting annoyed at this 15min job.

Help :) please

Maybe mine a bit off. Even the two halves of the vent don't line up perfectly underneath. It's done now. Ended up with an extra hole or two.

My driver side lined up perfectly with the template but when I reversed to do the passenger side, I ended up having to re-drill one of the holes because it was off. Other than that, install was pretty simple.

Thanks :) I feel far less special now. I had to re-drill what would be your passenger side.

They do look good but I may pull them and get them painted gloss black

Make sure when you print it you measure the line on the template to make sure it is the right length. I think it's supposed to be 4". I printed a 2nd copy for myself one day and I didn't have the correct setting and it came out slightly smaller. It had something to do with fit to page or something.

Make sure you check your printer settings. Many printers will default to fitting the image to the page. Make sure you are printing at 100%.

i didn't even bother using the template, lol.

just used the screws to lightly scratch where I was supposed to drill. quicker and easier, IMO.
