I got a Roush AB for my 15 GT a couple of weeks ago and the drone in the cabin is quite(very) noticeable under 2000rpm... Only way I've found to fix it is to downshift into lower gears so the RPM stays above 2000. Is it a common issue? I know automatics tend to drone but I thought as long as the stock resonator is in place everything should be good...

Other than that, the rOUSH exhaust sounds sick and I'm loving it.

Any louder exhaust is gonna drone unless the exhaust tuned out the specific rpm like Solo performance but then You would have a different drone rpm.

In my experience, the Roush has a very slight drone at about 2200-2500 rpm in normal mode, cruising on the freeway at about 75 mph, but there is zero drone for me below 2200 rpm or at any other rpm. The Roush AB is one of the best performing exhausts that I've heard with regards to drone, ie pretty much zero, just in case I wasn't clear.

I have a 2015 GT auto premium addition with the Roush axel backs and stock resonator. I do have 3.15 gears and maybe that makes a bit of difference because the engine bogs a bit at lower speeds/rpm's with that gearing. Not sure what type of gears you have.

What I have done is similar to you, however I don't paddle shift down. I flip into sport mode. Sport mode holds the rpms at a slightly higher value. This tends to kill the bit of drone you get at the lower rpm.

I also put the car into sport mode if going up hills to also minimize drone.

Methinks I should just leave it in sport mode and all will be well.

I have the same setup and have absolutely no drone at any speed or rpm?

For me, there is zero drone above 2000rpm in normal or sport. You are right, I usually just put the car into Sport mode and let it hold the RPM at above 2000.

I have the Roush AB with an X-pipe and the only time where I'm getting a slight drone is hanging around 1200rpm with 3.15 gears. It's actually not really that bad since I have gotten used to it. I don't get any drone above 2k rpm.
