Looking into getting my roof wrapped in Gloss black and my windows tinted. Buddy of mine knows a guy asking for around 450 for both. (i'm in NJ).

2 Questions

1. Is this a fair price to get both done?
2. Anyone who has their roof wrapped in black, can you share some pics please?

I'd say that's a fair price. I'm in MD and I paid $250 to tint all windows 20% and tint the full windshield 50%. I asked him about getting the roof wrapped and he said he'd do it for $200, but I'm holding out on that and instead wrapping the roof with a distressed American flag.

Distressed flag will look awesome!! Defintely post pics when you do so. So far I've heard it's a fair price. Just not looking forward to the tint tickets and getting hasseld in my town.

I definitely will! Just waiting to find the right design to go with for the wrap. As for tickets, I've been tinted now for a few months and cops have yet to bother me. *knock on wood*

The town I just moved to are known for having pain in the butt cops. I had an ATS with a light tint on the front but they never bothered. But it's not aloud Mustang so i'm not sure. I think cause it's not some ricey car and i'm a young adult they may not give me too much of a hard time.

After the tint and the roof wrapped, I think i'm going to tint the tails, and blackout the badges for that full storm trooper look.

Good luck with it! I'd say keep the tint around 20% and they might not bother you much at all. I have the tails tinted and with the tinted windows it looks solid! I had all black badges but I just dipped them to a teal color and it pairs so nicely with the Ignot Silver, haven't seen too many silver and teal S550s yet, mostly silver and black.

Post a pic would love to see! Did you paint them yourself? I was just going to buy the 5.0 badges and the GT badge in black from one of many sites (feel free to offer suggestions as well) I will probably do 20%. Did you have your tail lights professionally done as well? Spray or physical tint?

I'll post some pics up later today after work. But I dipped the badges myself, been dipping trim and wheels for a while now so its just about practice and taking your time and getting a good amount of layers on. I'd say for you though I'd just run to lowes and grab a few cans of black plastidip and spray your badges. Comes out great and costs $10ish to get all of your badges black rather than dropping $50 for just the 5.0 badges. And for the tails I bought the tint kit from American Muscle and then watched the CJPP videos and tinted them. Just used some baby shampoo in a spray bottle for the solution and used a blow dryer to set it. I'm no professional and everything came out looking great!

Yeah i've plastidipped some stuff in the past. Debating doing the badges myself. As far as the tail lights I was debating on buying those individual covers that stick on with 3M, think they are on american muscle as well.

I think at the end of the day its preference for the tails. After reading all of the reviews on both I went with the tint just because it looks more natural than the covers did.

Definitely a fair price. As long its good quality tint and vinyl for the wrap.

Prices can vary from place to place and for tint, using ceramic tint vs non-ceramic tint makes a difference in price also.
