Looking at some rims for my winter tires. I dont know anything about offsets. Are all offsets the same for a vehicle? Meaning is a +25 on one rim the same as another rim? I am looking at these rims, would they fit correctly?
thanks

I am interested in this too.
But looking into a wheel means also looking into the "Backspacing".
If your wheel you are looking at has up to 5.9" backspace, we should be good.
More backspace than that and we need an offset of +40. I am still checking into wheels and like also to know how much a set will cost me at my dealer. Shipping from the USA to Canada ($600) makes no sense to buy at tirerack.com or 1010.com. I saw a couple new 18" on Ebay for 380 CAD a set. But I have no idea what backspace they have. It says only: 2014 Mustang GT wheels. No idea if they would fit my EB PP!?

It looks like I have to buy at the dealership or at kijiji.ca local if they fit the EB PP. Buying the wrong one in the USA would be a disaster. :faint:

BTW: I Have no idea why FORD choose 19" wheels at all for the PP. That's the most expensive wheel/tire combination. 20" tires are much cheaper. And I am not starting with the 18" prices....

Offset is the measurement of how far from the centerline of the wheel(when looked at from the side of the barrel, not the face) the hub bolts on. A wheel with a 0 offset bolts on exactly in the center of the width of the wheel. A wheel with a +42mm offset bolts on 42mm closer to the front or face of the wheel. A wheel with a -25mm offset bolts on 25mm closer to the back of the wheel and would have a sunk-in look. The more positive the offset, the further inside the fender the wheel will fit. Less offset will stick the wheel further out toward the fender.

Here is a simple wheel offset calculator.
