Yeah, but I always thought the definition of rice was a slow car dressed up in a cheesy way to appear fast.

But the S550 IS a fast car...so isn't dressing it up to the owner's discretion NOT rice? I mean, even a v6 Mustang these days is a pretty fast car.
That has always been the exact definition where i live. This was my exact point when Mr Fox5.0 started running his trap throwing out the Ecoboost as the "ricer target".. To me none of the s550 models even come close to being in that category!!!

Guess I am one of them.

What? It was started on Shelby Cobras... Then moved on to mark what side of the car the driver was on for when certain American and European cars started racing - basically to assist response/medical crews. I think Dodge was the actually the last to use them.

And the probably isn't going to be ricing them..it's going to be stancing them:

:barf::barf::barf::barf::barf::barf:
WTF is stancing anyways?

And from the sounds of it, most people are associating ricing with changing the looks of the car to be an eye sore. Which is fine, eye sore cars are terrible in general. But people shouldn't hate on the "fake" hood scoops and stuff like that. Some people like to change the body of a car or customize the appearance. So as long as it isn't an eye sore, I don't see a problem with it.

No different than people who have a V8 and want a louder exhaust.
Steps to being a asshole "ricer"
1. Cheap mods that look terrible
2. Being an eye sore
3. Driving like an asshole (which is applicable to EVERYONE who drives like it)
4. Wanting to race every car they see

If you drive like a jerk, and try to race other people on regular streets all the time, you're half way to being an asshole/ricer. Regardless of engine.

I had a guy in a 14 mustang GT drive like a jerk in and out of traffic, and then he cut in front of me. Just because he had a mustang GT doesn't mean it's ok.

The popular thing to do. Widest rim possible with the narrowest tire, and being lowered to the ground for no reason.

The less you can fit between wheel/tire and wheel well = good, for some reason.

And at least 7 degrees of camber.

Just plain disgusting. I'd rather have Fast and Furious ricers all over.

And why is it so hard for you to believe there is people that actually want the Turbo 4 engine over the 8. With just a tune you have similar performance as the 8 but with much better fuel economy and lower insurance cost.. he might have chose the Turbo Ecoboost because he needed better fuel economy because he has a longer drive to work then most and its his daily driver and 32 mpg is important to him..Who knows..?
You bicker like your 16.
I said the Ecoboost has potential I'm not flaming on your 4 banger.

Now what I said was why pay 40k for the middle model when you could have bought a fully loaded GT. The point of the Ecoboost is affordability and in my OPINION... 38k is just a waste.

Funny.. i bicker like im 16?? If i recall your the one throwing out Comments about the Ecoboost being a rice target.. you only said it had potential after people started taking issue with your comment!! And " Im not flaming on your 4 banger" ok i wont flame on your primative gas hog either! The way you talk im guessing im much older then you!! And ive probably owned more v8's in my life then you as well..

Just saw your second comment. I don't see it as a waste,it's a different performance option than the v8 for me. I like turbos and in the end didn't want a na v8. I loved the v8 don't get me wrong I just liked the turbo more.I second guessed myself a few times and test drove them both way more than i'd like to admit. Wasn't an easy decision. However now with a tune i'am very happy with it

Everyone and their dog seems to want to put stripes on these cars too. Thankfully I haven't seen to many fender hash marks.
Stripes on a mustang is a ricer thing?

Definitely not a ricer thing. But I do feel like stripes were much more fitting for the previous gens body language. I feel like the new body deserves something a little more sophisticated

Oh man, I saw a stanced out FR-S driving near my house a few weeks ago with what must have been a one inch ride height. I couldn't help but to stare at it as it drove by, the guy probably thought I was jealous or something, but in reality I was trying to comprehend the vast amount of stupid that was in front of my face :headbonk: To quote a friend, "I don't understand the youths." I think I am getting prematurely old

...on the other hand, maybe I'll do all this stuff to my Ecoboost! It'll be like having, 10 V8's under the hood, right?

I'm gonna get a two foot tall wing and lambo wings on my mustang. Probably neon wheels, too.
