Good to see the manual Mustang beat the flappy paddle Beemer and Hairdresser's TT off the line.

yer but it has an Audi badge, and it's a Audi sports car, how much cooler can you get?!?!

To be honest, the new '16 TT's are a bit more manly, but previous iterations are hideous, wouldn't ever want to drive one (Along with a KA, Fiat 500 etc).

Anyway, we all personally know what the better car's are that get more attention and are generally the nuts -> I'll give you a hint, it's not made in Germany!

I'd agree that there's nothing wrong with buying a car that handles well and is fun to drive regardless of what it is. I had a few good years with a Z4 and loved driving my wife's Minis.
That said, Mustang is something else... :headbang:

had 3 Audis in a row, wouldn't buy another. no more reliable than any other car just cost more to fix when they inevitably go wrong. one of which was a TT.

Middle daughter had a Cooper S, that was a real hoot to drive, live the proverbial off a shovel and the stuck like the proverbial in the twisties :headbang:

Youngest daughter has a Cooper Coupe, great styling IMO, and again, it's like a little go cart. The Mustang would do well to loose a Cooper S in the twisties, that being said, they both want a shot of daddies Mustang

The review, or reviewer, lost me as an audience as soon as he opened his mouth, he's obviously a German car fan.

I've had my fill of German cars now... I find they've become very 'samey' and a little boring and predictable to be quite honest (unless you have a budget stretching to £70K and upwards where all their 'fun' cars are).

Firstly, I chose to buy a Mustang because I found myself forgetting how a proper car actually feels... and I don't need a car with web access to 'Google Earth'... I have all that $hit on my iPhone, iMac, iPod, iPad, Macbook, Windows laptop and television.

Secondly, the Mustang is a car you can personalise and make individual thanks to a gamut of parts and accessories, both aesthetic and functional, that I haven't seen since the days of the MK1 Escort and Capri - there's bugger all meaningful you can do with a BMW or Audi without several hundred to several thousand of pounds of software or without looking like a complete twat!

Thirdly, the Mustang is still to this day referred to as a 'muscle car' and the S550 is a thing of beauty despite oft being labelled 'cumbersome'... and there ain't to my knowledge anything from the German (or any other European manufacturer's) stables that could be classed as 'muscular'... least not a motorised pram like the TT which could be at best classed as sporty... but then that's a classification that's also used to describe some models of Honda Jazz!

fourthly it's like £10k cheaper than a 4 series.

agree the A5 i had is a great car and in many ways 'better' than the stang. but that's all it is, buy it and forget it. in that sense it might as well be a mondeo.

liteally haven't removed the smile from my face since i collected it this morning. :headbang:

Good luck ever removing that smile, when you do, probably time to sell the car.

2 1/2 months in, every time I get out the car, I look back at it as I'm closing the door, I know I don't have to lock the doors from my key, I just like to pull it out, turn around and watch it light up as if to say 'See you in a few hours' (Yes im that sad lmao), then find myself when I'm not driving it, either talking about it or looking at it!

4 series start from £30k?
Correct. 4 Series M Sport are in the 40k range...

Then again, with the typical Beamer/Audi/Mercy logic, you buy a shell for 30k, and spend the rest adding an engine, steering wheel and seats, now wonder indicators & manners are left out and snobbish c0ck-swab behaviour or (to quote Chris Harris) "a fortunate tele-salesman who got a big bonus" (OWTT) are included in the price :lol:
