Theyve been making cars since when? 1800's? How in the world have we been surviving that long without a backup camera??:rolleyes:

Here's a pic of mine. It only costs $5 for Plastidip and $6.99 for that piece of tint. I don't disagree that it'd be cool to see more options for the rear diffuser/bumper. But if you like this, it'll save you some money.

It's...

Think anyone will come out with a bumper that deletes the reverse light? I think it would make the back of the car look so much better.
It's the best looking reverse light in years........

If you got in an accident while reversing without any reverse light indicator, you could be faced with a civil suit for negligence I imagine

OP, have you considered tinting the lens?

Nick C.
I have the base model with the painted bumper. I would think about tinting it if i did the plasti dip idea to the whole bumper insert.

Ingot2015: USDOT=> last year 200 killed by car backing up, 17,000 injured. 44% of the fatal accidents were children under 5 years old. So if the statistics hold...20,000 killed and nearly two million injured over the last century.

one of the first mods I did was LED reverse light. Maybe you're attentive to the world around you and have great situational awareness, but that doesn't mean the rest of the world is. I also have the sensors in my bumper for backing out. It has come in handy several times already trying to back out in a walmart parking lot with suv's blocking my view on either side. Sure we've gotten along well for the past century without these safety devices but the rare few that have gotten into some kind of accident/lawsuit are probably grateful for them. I agree with what someone else said, if you delete this light and have an accident you'll be sued for negligence if someone notices that light missing, regardless if it's your fault.

To answer your question, no, I highly doubt anyone is going to make a bumper that deletes the reverse light. To be optimistic, I would think there may be a slim possibility that one may come out that alters it or moves it.

I'm on the other side of the coin on this issue...

I love the placement of the OEM backup light on my EcoBoost Premium...

Very well designed...beautifully integrated in the rear valance!

I installed a high powered DD LED bulb in the my backup light...I wanted the light to be even more noticeable!!!

Will there ever be an aftermarket solution kit to delete the backup light...not even a slim chance...just no demand for such an item...and rightfully so!

I don't mind it at all on the premiums. But there's something about the body colored diffuser on the base models that makes it look slightly too big/weird IMO. Hence, the dip and tint on mine.
