Reverse and trunk light not working

Been trying for hours to rectify this situation but just cant seem to figure it out. 2019 GT convertible premium PP1 . Is there a fuse that controls this as I cant seem to locate one . I was told by a mechanic to check fuse #6 under the hood and its fine (not blown) . Reverse or trunk light just dont work . Bulbs work as i ran straight power to both .Every other light does work as well including side markers, license, tail lights , 3rd brake light , etc... Have not checked the reverse light switch yet but I dont think that would effect the trunk light so I assume thats not the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am just assuming but I believe that the trunk light would have constant power to the switch and and when the trunk is open the switch closes and turns on the light and when you close the trunk the switch opens and turns off the light ? This is only my opinion please chime in and let me know if this makes scene

Hi All

I had the recall done as a preventive action about a year ago. Just last week, the trunk light stopped working.

Is there an easy fix or is this a 4 hour rewire job out of warranty?
