I'm going to start calling him Smuckers

What cupcake DIDN'T know is the dealership actually sold the car for more than they gave me on trade in to make up for the loss they took on selling me the 2015 GT when they sold it for $32,900 to a guy that had money and just wanted that car. He didn't want a 2015-16. He wanted my old red one. He has a Viper, Corvette and Camaro and wanted the red Mustang because it looked and sounded good.

To these trolls , the GM was an "idiot" but instead he knew his profession better than most when he made me happy and the buyer of my red car happy and didn't lose anything in the long run.

ULTRAKLASSICS CARS AUTOMATICALLY GAIN VALUE BECAUSE HE OWNED THEM! :hail:
Seems more like his dealership has no issues making money off his cars.

Nothing wrong with that; clearly he also knows how to play the game. :clap2:

Look, the bottom line is that trade-in number is ridiculous. There is no arguing that fact.

He made his original post to brag, as if everyone should be able to do the same, without revealing the details, which make all the difference.

People asked him he didn't respond.

For starters there was only 300 miles on the car for god sake. He never even drove the damn thing.

And apparently has a dealer that he can bend over and name his price.

I'm still convinced there is more to it, like the dealer is a family friend or who knows. And I see he crossed out the price he paid for the 2015...hmm...

But whatever, at the end of the day, getting $2k more from a dealer for a DEPRECIATING base mustang then you paid for it brand new 3 years prior is insane, plain and simple.

Sorry ultra, didn't mean to insinuate you were lying, I wasn't calling bs, and definitely not hating. I just knew I was missing something. It came across as "I bought a car for 27500 and sold it back to them at 29500, 3 years later" I'd call bs on that all day.

I could definitely understand your deal now that I see it was a pristine low mileage (almost no mileage) modded car with a lot of work put into it. The average guy that buys a 2013 and pays for the labor and full price parts would have 10k+ in brakes, wheels, tires, suspension, im, cai, full exhaust, tune, tint, and all the other little color matching details.

Your car had <400 miles in 3 years. Mine has 10400 miles in 3 months. If you put the miles on like I do, resale is going to suck no mater how good of a wheeler dealer you are.

I couldn't make payments on a car for 3 years and not drive it.

Exactly! and I apologize as well for my snippy comment to you .

And here is some more truth. I ended up with a 2016 Ingot Silver. This car is not going to be the attention whore my other cars were, therefore, no amount of curb appeal will rescue me from where I am in this car. I KNEW that going into this deal but I can DRIVE Ingot Silver and my OCD won't flair up as bad because the dirt is not as visible.:headbonk: I'm in this 2016 GT for the long haul.

Hah, don't we all! Name your price! The customer is always right! lol. I'm sure when he walks into his dealership they have a red carpet spread out for his Majesty, sit him down on a large plush chair while gorgeous women fan him and feed him grapes.

On a more realistic note, his numbers are not remotely realistic for 99.9% of us, and I still say there is more to this deal than what's been revealed.

He withheld info from the beginning. No reason to think he isn't still doing so.

I know his type, he'd rather have us all think of him as Master Yoda :D

You will likely get that. Knumbnuts on the other hand is a twat, a TROLLING TWAT at that, in here so I KNOW he's a douche in real life. He'll die in that old 2012 beater he's driving before a dealership will make him a good deal.

I also bought my Mustang to drive and enjoy regardless of any loss of value on any book or site. Whenever i decide to sell it, i will get as much as i can at that time. I keep my car very clean and well detailed inside and out because i enjoy it that way. I would be happy to let Darren detail mine for me if i lived near him because he has it down. I just migrated to this site, but i am very familiar with Darren's abilities on car maintenance and detailing. :hail:
