Has anyone solicited price quotes from multiple dealers? I plan to place an order in early March, but I am planning to contact Internet Sales people at several dealerships telling them the desired model, color and options and request that they provide their pricing. I have a X-Plan PIN. I understand some have gotten prices below the X-Plan price. I am interested in reactions to this approach. Thanks!

Coupes, cobras etc. had them all
I did this for my wife's car and just kept calling to see who could beat the next dealers lowest price and it worked, it's slow right now

Price Quotes...

I suggest you don't use the 'automatic' price quote pages. I tried a couple and they limited the options. For example, Magnetic would only allow Black seats.
It is better to contact the dealers by email. Most called me back within a day or two. Give the dealer all of the information you have. X-Plan, options, etc. If you plan on trading in your present car and/or need financing, it will difficult for the dealership to proceed.
I paid cash for my last two cars and bought from the dealership which gave me the best deal via email.
However, I did use the Internet to check on reviews about all of the dealerships I became interested in. I rejected several 'good deals' when I found out that they were not reliable.

I do it all the time, every time. Why wouldn't you? Just print out your options and email away to the sales managers of as many dealerships as possible.

Sometimes it is better to schedule a visit at the dealership during the week (if possible). This shows them you're serious and they might work with you on pricing.
