Replacing fender badging

The new fender badges don't have alignment pins, that's why I asked if I needed to fill in the holes.
The black ones I bought from UPR had alignment pins.

What are u guys using to remove the factory emblem?
I used painter tape all around stock emblem and then used fishing line to cut through the 3m tape. Then used goo gone to remove remaining tape.

Yeah I dipped my front and back emblems.

As for the 5.0 badges, I didn't want to cover up the red dot or worse, looking like total sh!t trying to mask off the red. From what I've seen on YT, end result looks like a botched hack job.
