My local dealer has a 4-6 week wait time and I don't have that kind of patience to wait that long. Being a retired master tech, I agree there are some very good techs out there so if/when you find one treat them good and they will do the same.
When I was still working, I treated my customer cars like my own and as a result had a very strong customer base that would request for me to work on their cars only and would gladly wait for me to get to their car. Sadly, I have yet to find a ford tech I trust in the 3 local dealers within a 50 mile radius of my home so I do my own work since I have a garage full of 50 years of tools from my career.
