Relocating to WA info

Moving to WA around September this year. Anything I need to know regarding modified cars, emissions, etc… Will I be hounded by the police anytime I pull out of the garage?

*kooks headers & Borla ATaK catback with off road and catted connection I can swap for emissions
*JLT intake
*tuned (will probably have to have it adjusted since the car is coming from Hawaii due to environment factors)

Just depends on what county you are in. Also, some counties, it depends on what city you are in. Biggest thing is the tax if you live in the I5 corridor which is something like Everett down to Fife area. Your registration could be several hundred dollar difference between a taxed area or not. I am assuming you are military coming from Hawaii. If you are going to Tacoma, you will likely be in an emission zone, if you are going to Whidbey, then you will be well out of harms way.

Emissions testing was stopped in 2020, so you're good there. Whether you get pulled over for loud exhaust or not is up to the cops around you; most won't do anything, but some will. In my 23 years of driving in WA, all my vehicles have had modified exhaust and I've never had any issues for that.

No emissions - cost of registration is based on cars vehicle price less depreciation. Good luck finding a reputable shop that works on modified / highly modified mustangs. 4 yrs in and ive found a total of 2...
