I wonder if the guys in charge would add on a red stripe option for 2017... The recent blue GT500's with red stripes always were my favorite.

So, let's look at it this way... Ford says they're gonna offer a red stripe option that is available with only three colors (blue, black and white). Chances are they produce 100 blue/red, 200 black/red, 300 white/red.

So how do you think the value of those 600 cars will hold up vs your GT350 with add on vinyl stripes?

Marginal at best since its just vinyl from the factory as well. And considering how cookie cutter the ordering was, I dont see any rhyme or reason for ford to do such a thing with add on stripes

If I get a car now and drive it for a year and put on my own red stripes, to me that is a much better scenario than waiting to see if they eventually offer red stripes from the factory. Resale-schmesale. I'll be driving this car into the ground, so my only hope on a decent resale is when some descendant of mine finds the car in a barn in 70 years.

If you don't plan on driving the car much, maybe it makes sense to wait and see what the factory offers.

I don't care either way, as my RR R will have no stripes. I was just curious as to the possibility of a different variety of color pallets for 2017. Personally, I would love to see Ingot silver with Red stripes. That would be a sweet look, IMHO.

I think that would look great as well, but I'd be happy with them offering Ingot Silver, period.

Whenever I see the Blue with Red Striped GT500's I think of Halloween. No pun intended.

By the way I love the Boss 302's but there seems to be party lines with Boss owners. Some of the late model Boss owners hold tight to defending why they prefer the last run Boss 302 over the new GT350. If I was a diehard Ford Track guy, I would always embrace the latest car and also embrace all the new advanced in technology placed in R&D on the car vs. bad mouth it. Not sure if you ever came across anyone like this bro but I sure have.
