I'm going to have red OTT stripes painted on my Oxford White S550.
I like the style, width and color of the stripes on the 3d Carbon SEMA car (below).
I couldn't find anything about the stripe color anywhere online but I guess I'd prefer a factory color if its very close so it would be easier to get touch-up paint.
Of the Ford colors, Poppy Red from the 60s seems close but slightly orangish. Also GM Torch Red might be close. I say might because when you search for cars painted a certain color, they are all over the map due to variations between cameras and possible post processing. But if anyone knows of a similar color from another car brand, I'd like to hear about that so I could make a comparison.
I was hoping I could use Photoshop color values to tell how close two reds are but two pictures I found of the SEMA car that looked identical to me, had different color values for the stripes. In the picture below, the stripes were absolutely pure red but the other picture (not posted but looking the same to my eyes) had significant amounts of both green and blue, so I guess its going to be eyeballs only. I suspect the picture below is pure red due to some post processing (maybe to enhance the red window tint).
