The one I saw over on another thread that had Black panels with red stitching ordered the leather Recaros with redline package and the premier trim. Maybe that is the combo needed to get black panels vs red?the one here has black with red stitching too. when i order mine in jan with recaro's redline i hope I get red stitching and not red panels.
anxious to see how we can choose one over the other. last thing i want is to order a car and it get here and have red panels lol

Yep:frusty::lol:Gotcha. Then no rhyme or reason.
It seems that way. I like them both so it didn't bother me which one I ended up withIt's like a lottery.![]()
Thanks; I do my best.Wow Ford Service is on their game. Such a fast response.
I got my car on 12/19 and ordered Redline Recaro's and I have the black door placards with red stitching. I also have the 68B.
Damn I like those Todd, would've been happy with either but since I have the red door panels I am used to them and love them.

It's quite clear the black with red stitching are made specifically for the Recaro Redline packages, so basically the real question is whether it was a major error for cars with red door inserts (ie supplier didn't have them in time so the first few batches just had full red) or if they are one off issues.
Cool, that makes us with red inserts unique. After seeing both I think I like the red insert better although it's hard to judge from just pics.
Check out Ford's build and price tool. In the picture, the door trim is clearly red when you select Red Line. I personally would have gone with the Red Line Recaro's if the door trim was black with red stitching instead of all red.:censored: ...
This has been a question I would like to know the answer to.
I've heard back from the brand manager. He states that the red stitching panels (Todd15Fastback's) are the correct build spec.the one here has black with red stitching too. when i order mine in jan with recaro's redline i hope I get red stitching and not red panels.

The red panel (Clink's) should not have made it out of the plant, so those are unique. Anybody that has the red panels will need to go back to the dealership; they can process a misbuild claim and get the correct insert.

They are working on correcting the build and price.

Clink - They look really good in person. But...I also like the red inserts as I had a 10th Anniversary Cobra that had them as well.Well there you have it folks - thank you Rachel for following up on this and helping once again.
I'd really like to see the black panels / red stitching in person myself to see if it's worth the hassle of swapping out. Or if I keep my "rare" interior as is
Thanks man, I don't think I'm going to do anything anyways....I like them how they came.Clink - They look really good in person. But...I also like the red inserts as I had a 10th Anniversary Cobra that had them as well.
