I'm assuming the red LEDs located on the top of the door panels are for the alarm system. I was checking out and testing the alarm system in the garage today, and noticed when I lock and arm the alarm, the red LEDs light up solid. I came back 10 min later and they were off.
I would think they should stay on solid, or at least blink to indicate the alarm system is activated. Anyone else notice this, or maybe a couple members here could arm the alarm and do the same test and let me know if the LEDs go out or not.
I'm assuming my alarm is working properly, so need verification on the LEDs. Nothing at all is mentioned in the owner's manual about the LEDs.
I have the enhanced security system, and I had someone lock the car with the remote while I sat in the car and I could hear the column lock and center console door lock active. Also tested out the interior sensor by keeping a window down and sticking my arm through the open window which made the alarm go off. The sensor didn't pick me up moving around inside, just when my arm passed the plane defined by the open window.
