Recall info and sync upgrade

Two questions
I picked my GT on 9th of Jan. Not heard anything from Ford about the recall. Should I actively chase the dealer or if I don't hear from them I don't have to worry?

Also this subject may have been covered before but do I check which software I have on sync 2? And how to upgrade? There is no such facility on Ford UK website and I can't join Ford US site as don't have a "zip code"?

For a zip code it usually accepts anything valid - 90210 is Hollywood and 33306 is a Florida one... Can't remember which one I used for mine....

As I recall there was a sync2 update in mid September, my car was built on 28/9/15 and had it installed at the factory.
