Hello all,
First, let me say thanks. I’ve been reading these forums and have been learning so much. I am so far behind the knowledge curve I doubt I will ever catch up, so I am grateful for the expertise here.
My next project is a dashcam. I was looking today at the rearview mirror and was impressed with the size of the plastic cover the mirror is attached to. (See photo.) I assume this cover hides various sensors used for safety systems. If not, do tell what they do please!
I wanted to hide the dashcam behind the mirror for a clean install, but this seems impossible now. My main question is how close to the plastic can I go? Would a dashcam right at the edge of the plastic hinder the sensors in any way?
Also, I want to run power directly from the mirror as I’d rather not have cables all over. Anyone see any issues with that?
And finally, anyone have a recommendation for the best Mustang dashcam? There are MANY options!
Many thanks!
