Howdy everyone!

Long time no post. I was considering buying a full IRS drop out of a PP car to swap onto my base GT (kinda serious, kinda not, still researching).

I keep finding myself ask the question, are there any differences between 15-17 and 18-23 car subframes (the cradle itself?).

I see some extraordinarily cheap auto cradles and suspension for sale and wouldn’t be opposed to having a second rear end floating around for parts/hardware, or incase I absolutely demolish a curb.

The differences would be the diff in the cradle, the shocks, springs and brakes. If you used a PP1 set up, you could end up with mismatched springs. struts and rear Brembo brakes. You would also need to make sure the diff has the correct pinion on it. Early manual cars had a different pinion than automatics and later cars.
