I have a number of issues I've seen on this site: Transmission thud, driver side upper molding gap, body panel alignment issues, hood movement, Sync bugs, camera/deck lid gap, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue...

I folded down both rear seats to take some broken down boxes to the recycling center. When I raised them back up this morning, I found the seat bottom to be mangled near the hinge slit on the passenger side (see attachment).

I see what went wrong, but I think it bent/broke something (plastic?) that helps hold the seat's shape and I cannot bend it back around to the other side of the hinge.

It didn't take excessive force to fold the seat, so I think leverage was working in my favor. It never crossed my mind to check the seat bottom for proper alignment prior to folding the seat.

I hope this is covered under warranty.

An upholstery shop can fix that easily and better than Stealerships any day.

Took it to the dealer for this (and the other things I mentioned). Upon inspection we found the seat fabric had been torn from the hinge acting like a pair of scissors. Dealer acknowledged the seat bottom was incorrectly installed and ordered a new seat bottom.
