I cannot believe Ford did not put steel alignment pins in the body for the IRS. My 14 year old Corvette is like this.
I have both BMR and Steeda products to include Steeda IRS braces.
How do we know the thing is aligned correctly? The reason I ask is I have a knock and a shifting (it feels like it at least) in the rear on turns sometimes. It is a weird sensation. The car has been aligned by a reputable shop here on island. I have no uneven wear or anything. I have been under the car 10 times for this as well.
All bolts are torqued correctly and everything was torqued with the suspension compressed at ride height. I initially thought it was the sleeves BMR provides for the IRS bushing kit but I shortened them a little and the noise/feeling is still present. Looked at my springs and they are all seated correctly.
At a loss really. I will be under the car again this weekend replacing the half shafts after my issue with DSS that was resolved. I guess I will just take out the whole IRS and put it back in again.
Anyone?
