Rear-ended and its expensive!

It varies by insurance company IMO. My '15 GT 50th had over $16k in damages and to this day it still has a clean carfax. Entire left rear quarter was cut off and a new one installed as well as an entire front end, 2 wheels, a day on the frame rack and a bunch of other stuff... After I traded it in it sold once then it appears they must have noticed it and traded it back in after 1200 miles! And there was a police report on that one.

Look at the bright side

Maybe the body shop can hang the bumper straight.

Sorry for your issue, pain in the butt.

I am always amazed how people damage stuff and just try to blow it off.
If it was parked, you would just have a damaged car.
