Sorry if this has been posted before, I don't seem to have a lot of luck with searches on this forum board. However, I've started to notice it looks like what I imagine to be the adhesive for the rear decklid piece is starting to separate at the top. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't clean it with anything harsh and she is garaged most of the time. It has been hot as hell in GA lately though. Just under 6k miles.

I don't mind attempting to fix it myself if someone has found a better way over the factory method.

no im pretty sure there is something there, maybe some adhesive 3m style tape for something.

Mine did the same thing, when you push on it you hear that adhesive unstick sound when you push on it. I noticed mine started to droop after the first few hot days of spring. I came out of work on a day it was in the 80s and i saw it walking up to the car.

Mine is being replaced once the part comes in. the dealer made a biog thing saying its a "$900 dollar part!" ok then give me the blank deck lid instead. ;)

Edit: looking here is looks to be some foam stuff up top, it could be the adhesive holding that on.

Ya just checked out the vid from LMR and it looks like there is some foam padding on the decklid piece as opposed to adhesive between the lid and the trunk. I may need to just loosen up the bolts and make sure the top part of it is pressed back into place with the clips...easy enough!

Mine is separating like that too, but that panel on mine isnt even close to centered. There is a 3/4" inch gap on the left and 1/8" on the right. Need to see if the dealer will fix it.

When threw many rear deck lids. Most of them have the same issue same goes to the FRPP unit. Is just a foam pad. Nothing to worry about.
