The driver rear CV joint boot torn along the clamp and threw it's grease/fluid all over. I'm gonna tape it over with some high-temperature tape and re-clamp it. What type of grease or oil should i use to fill it up? And what quantity?

I know this is a temporary repair, but if it breakes again, I'll get a new boot or new half axle. I see no reason to replace the entire boot or half axle if it's still working. Open to suggestions and advice

Is the vehicle still under warranty? Pretty sure it would be covered under drive train warranty.

There is no specific quantity, Use a good quality CV NLGI #2 GC-LB lithium complex EP grease.

Using tape isn't going to work. It will never stick properly, and the Centrifugal force will just force the grease out.

At a minimum, you need to remove the axle from the car, remove the boot, re-pack the bearing with grease, and replace the boot and clamps.

Rock auto sells the repair kit you need to do it correctly. MOTORCRAFT TS242, or TS243 depending on which boot it is. Or you can just buy the repair kit from Ford.

not under warranty anymore, but from what I've seen half axle's and replacement boots are cheap. Only pain is the work and i don't have all the socket sizes, so I'll need to buy more tools.
