I am doing a intake change out soon and was thinking about doing the rear coolant crossover mod to #8 cylinder. Has anyone done this? I saw a post saying it's a waste of time since the coolant flow path would in essence just create a hose with no flow in it doing nothing. Also it increases the chance for a coolant leak. Any motor guys that can weigh in on this?

I put the MMR crossover on my 12, but I did it when I installed an aluminator so it was done on an engine stand. Honestly I can't see doing it in the car...I know they say it can be done with the IM off but removing the freeze plugs and installing seems like a nightmare with the engine in the car. Plus when I installed I wrapped the crank trigger wiring with high temp wrap because it basically layed against the crossover fitting.
