Bought a used 2017 Mustang GT last week. Didn't notice anything until I got home and started cleaning it up really good, but the right rear side of the bumper cover has two clips that I can NOT get to engage...if I pull it out just a bit, the one behind these two comes out and it snaps back in easily, but these two just will NOT re-engage. Any ideas on how to fix this? Do I need to take the whole bumper loose on this side? Can't get photos to upload, but it is the first two clips right behind the wheel well on the right side. Any help would be appreciated.

Rear bumper fit issues seem to be a common problem. My '18 has a problem with the bumper not lining up in the area you are talking about, and I haven't been able to get it to snap in place for more than a few days. But I don't have time to let the dealer mess with it, and I don't really like the idea of them improvising some kind of fix...

I hear ya, out of warranty, and don't really want them messing with it either.
