I guess their is no other way to fix this but to take into service right? Only thing I hate is just getting this car and having them take apart the dash to fix it?

It was working this morning. However while I was at work a heavy thunderstorm rolled through the area and then the radio wouldn't turn on.

my base radio stopped

I call ford 1st. They tried walking me though a reboot. But no good. So Ford said to call my dealer. I Called my dealer but they could not look at it until next week. So I Googled. 1 site said to pull Ford Sync fuse. Now you could lose your saved items. But this worked for me.
Check owners manual for inside car fuses and pull Sync fuse. I waited 5min. Then I put it back and it worked fine. And still works now. My AM/FM worked. But all my Sync audio features stopped. Like bluetooth & phone. But after I pulled that 1 sync fuse. Everything went back to normal. Inside car fuses are on the bottom right of the passenger floor board. It's tricky to get that panel off. But take your time & you'll figure it out. Check the owners manual.
