radio removal - new harness

HELP!

I am working on installing my system and purchased the harness for behind the CD player from OEM. I have it all taken apart except I can not pull the CD player far enough out of the dash to disconnect the harness. It actually feels like the factory harness is not long enough to pull it forward.

Any tips on how to disconnect that to pull it out is greatly appreciated!

It's a very tight fit. If you remove the 2 screws from the box above it you can move it out of the way some. Then it's the fun of squeezing your finger down to the release of the harness and slide the harness off the back. It's definitely a pain as I've already had to do it twice this morning.

Thanks for the response Gil. I finally removed the screen and then the box behind it. Very tight squeeze! The harness is now wired in. Just left to do the battery work. Not sure it I will beat the football games...todays priority.
