I'm putting together a build list for a GTPP that I intend to drive at HPDE's and I'm listing my items in order of priority.

I've noticed some people running APR front splitters on their cars. Are these really that functional for creating enough down force to reduce over steer or are they just nice looking, high dollar curb catchers?

The APR front splitters are definitely functional. While I admit I absolutely love how it looks on my car- I bought it for track days.

Thanks for the responses guys. I know that most of the aftermarket rear spoilers for these cars are a waste of money in terms of function, but I wasn't sure about the front splitters since they don't seem to provide a big increase in surface area. Is it the adjustable angle of attack that makes the difference?

Adjustability is definitely nice, but is really more of a fine tuning detail, than the main reason. Even though there isn't a lot of surface area, it still does a good job of splitting air and helping keep more of that high pressure, low speed air on top of the surface of the splitter (even if it isn't sticking out 6 inches like the Apollo Mustang).
