Question about clutch

I don't know if I'm being paranoid but recently when I press the clutch all the way down and release it feels like its sticky if that makes any sense. Like there's a piece of gum at the bottom every time i press it down and release...am I pressing down too far or is this normal??? Thank you

It might not be actually because when I press my foot down on my car I hear a clicking sound...could this be my problem and if so is it a complicated fix?
