You can see most of the yard. Not much security. Its at 3900 Gibson Rd.
The auto facility actually has cameras that are monitored 24/7 now. Not sure if they are done installing them all but will be shortly. I can actually watch the auto facility from my office 50 miles away if I wanted...

Stop with the train wreck pictures please. I'm having a hard enough time with this whole process as it is!

thats what i was told as well. but its strange my dealer called the rail yard and they said its on a train now, but all the ones on the train have a hold on them for now, so until the hold is lifted, it would sit there, not sure which to believe, one says its at the plant, one says its on a train???

I just got the dreaded email from dealer. There is a hold. Don't know how long yet. I hope it isn't the two week hold. I already gave them my 2012 mustang and now driving a loaner.

Think ford should do some explaining. People are expecting these cars and to have a hold with no idea why is crazy. Unless it's some behind the scenes thing where they wanna trickle dealer stock out to give each dealership fair shots? Either way it more and more seems like ford does not want enthusiasts to have the car. If you ordered retail, you are not scheduled still. If you had it moved to stick to get it faster you get some messed up hold and no info. Great way to treat long time customers

I've worked in manufacturing for over 25 years and this is a terrible example of customer service.

The basic rules of good customer service dictate:

1. Don't lie to customers (it will bite you in the ass).
2. Give customers an honest answer as to why their product is on hold.
3. Don't ever say "we have no idea when the quality hold will be lifted".
If you don't know why, get off your butt and find out why. If the plant manager doesn't want the reason out there, then tell the customer it's a quality hold and they are working to resolve it.
4. Give the customer your professional "best guess as to when" and follow up with the customer in a week. Do not make him come to you again.

Bottom line, if you are honest with customers, they will stay with you. BS doesn't fly in the customer service world. The competition is just too high out there.

Sorry to ramble....end of rant. :(

just got a call from my dealer. he said the reason for the hold is due to condensation in the headlights. they are replacing or repairing as they go or when they get into the station, then they will be released. i hope thats all it is and glad they are fixing it now.
