I work for RR if you have rail car #s. I can pretty much tell you when cars will be delivered for vendor to trainload to trucks for final trip to dealership.

once my car hits "Transit" i will be looking for you, as i am here in Omaha also.

i went with the dealer closest to me - as i am from down in Springfield. I have not been in Omaha long, so, i am not quite sure where the yard is.

rail is not always the smoothest ride... tracks can warp and everytime those wheels go over those joints or junctions... its a pretty good jolt.... Bad weather days are not the best especially the very wet ones

You can see most of the yard. Not much security. Its at 3900 Gibson Rd.

Most railcars are enclosed. We usually don't have any issues other than dirty interiors from the unloaders. Lol

not really... they are oftem double deckers... you can see inside them easily... they are not entirely enclosed...not completely out of the elements.... they may have a solid roof but the sides are definitely not... of course, it depends on the type of carrier though the one above... is the most common.... i see those getting loaded all the time in the customs quarrantine in PT. Hueneme, CA... Mazdas, Kia, Toyota were the most common ones seen.... they get offloaded from ship there then pass customs then loaded onto rail cars... it was a TON of them, acres and acres within the Navy Base there
