Had my first puncture yesterday.....

Too close to the shoulder to repair so have to get a new tyre. My advice is that the puncture kit didn't work. Just pumped liquid out the hole.

£170 for a new Pirelli fitted today. Fml

Bet you wish you could have replaced all 4 corners with mpss'!

Sucks, but at least it was a puncture and not a crash!

Well, Monday isn't too bad. Bank holiday for most shops was Sunday not Monday, still a bit of a challenge to find a place though! Asda was open yesterday because I totally went and stocked up on 50p easter eggs

Did this happen whilst driving or parked?

If driving did the TPMS system work and alert you of the puncture?

I think I had a nail in it which got pulled out and when I stopped the car I heard the air pissing out.

The monitoring system flashed up to tell me 1psi. So luckily I wasn't driving fast on it. But I was really disappointed in the tyre mobility kit. Totally useless in this case. If I was on the main road I was stuck.

Last time I had a puncture I used a motorcycle tyre plug kit. Even if its just a get you home measure.

I've used them for years on bikes and kept riding till the tyre wore out.

Ouch, sorry to hear that mate, I'll never use the liquid, is not worth the space in the boot.
If I ever get a puncture I would phone the AA,

Yeah....and now I'm carrying their details in my car to help in future!!

Luckily I was at my brothers and I stole his car overnight but in future I'll be better prepared.

But my warning of how hard it was to get a sized tyre to fit is to let you be aware of it.

I was told I would have to wait to Thursday for a tyre. But drove 85 miles to another depot to get one.

Painful forking out for a new tyre when the old one has so much tread.

I went for the space saver spare (as is fits the EB), but not cheap for something you may never use.

Alternatively, you could have some spare full size wheels in the car if you're the bouncer at a rough American bar - roadhouse!
