Protective license plate frames?

The edge of my plate is pretty sharp. Right now I've put a thin layer of gorilla tape around the edge of the plate so the edges don't dig into the paint. But I'd like a better looking, more permanent solution. Do they make like a rubber frame the plate can fit inside of?

What solutions are available to protect the paint from the plate?

I second the Weathertech frames. I've got the regular $15 dollar frame which I think is simple and classy, and also well made and durable. :cheers:

Walmart has a rubber frame that does what you are looking for.

I don't think so. But it holds the plate pretty snug.

I understand your concern about the plate scratching the paint. But you'll only see where it's scratched when you remove the frame and plate. And b/c the bumper is not metal, even if the paint is scratched all the way thru, there want be any rust issues.
