Looking to remove the PCM to have it bench programmed and never done it before. Hoping it's a simple job.
So far only found this video

A link to online service manual maybe?

Thanks

Ford manual procedure has literally steps in it (direct copy and paste) :

2. Unclip and position aside the BJB.

3.
1. Disconnect the PCM electrical connectors.
2. Remove the retainers and the PCM.

this went easily enough after short learning curve, wasn't a clustermuck like that youtube video I posted

my steps

1. disconnect negative battery terminal
2. unhook wire harness clip by fluid reservoir
3. press tabs in the BJB to unclip it and bungee it out of the way
4. unhook the PCM connectors by moving the levers up
5. use a 8mm socket or wrench for the two bolts

Not shown in picture but circled is area I blocked with a strip of paper in case I dropped the bolt or a socket fell off and rolled into the crevices. Once bolt is installed or removed just yank on the paper strip to remove it

6. remove PCM

Installation is reverse but the tricky part is getting that bottom bolt threaded without dropping the bolt. There's a lot of slop built into the threaded clips.

Just put the bolt in the PCM before sliding into the bracket, only put it deep enough to be able to clear the PCM. Keep tension with tip of finger on top of bolt. Looking down the side of the PCM and bracket visually guide the bolt into the threaded clip and get the thread started
