yes it should cool the entire back, lower + shoulders. The cool you feel at the lower back is coming from the seat.
Lower + shoulder ?? :eyebulge:

Then I also have a problem with mine. They only cool the lower part of the back seat ...

of course, all mustangs have this issue. I'm following the international thread about it and even with the TSB this is not solved at all :/

Oh well, thanks for that info.

I really hope that a fix will be available for that ...

The fun part is that, yes, Ford made a fix! But the fix.. does not fix it :D
So it's very unlikely that they will make a new fix.
Problem is that they copied this design from other cars, but in those cars there are ducts under the seat that carry air from air conditioning system! The Mustang does not have thos ducts so the peltier cells we have for cooling have a hard times trying to cool air trapped in seats..
You can't fix it without redesigning half of the car.

Redesigning half of the car ?
It's not a problem for you as you already redesigned half of the lights on the car :D

eh... don't think it was supposed to cool the upper back/shoulder area (unless you are very very short :D) the area with perforation is just the lower/middle back area if I recall correctly...

cools my bum well enough, haven't had an excuse to test it properly though for the back - but I felt a chill :D

Well, the perforated area is not too small

but the cooling effect is ridicuolus - also when cooling, try to place a hand _behind_ the back seat: you can think it will caught fire in short!
Another problem is that the cooling\heating module is stuffed inside the seat back, and the seat back is thin shaped to grant more space for the rear passengers. So there is no space for hot air to escape, and the peltier cool side is forced to cool dow hotter air. After some minutes all air is hot and the small cooling system can't do anything.
It's a design flaw in a system that we paid 600 eur and doesn't work.
But Ford doesn't care.

 Ford needs to pay us a redesign fee :clap2:

However if you want to know more about that, here is the big "Cooled seats not cooling" thread: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23384

The question is, has anyone in EU complained to his dealer yet as they did in the US?

Already saw the thread a while ago and it seems that the TSB does not fix the problem but improves it a bit. I wonder how close they (Ford) are following the subject now after the TSB
