Pre-emptive battery change?

Gauge in the car runs @ 13.8 with everything on...... My voltmeter at the battery says the same at the battery. Like I said....knock on wood! My 22 MACh1 says just about the same......12,000 miles and shhhh.....I keep the key fob in the car 24/7.

Good. Like you I have always kept my key fobs in cars all the time. Never had an issue.

My 23 sat for 5 months last year due to a bad shoulder. I was charging it once a month. I saw no difference in monthly voltage drop when I compared locked vs key left in cup holder. I also leave the key in the car all the time when parked in garage.
