Took my car out on the Tail of the Dragon and other roads in the vicinity this weekend. All I can say is wow! To say it handles fenominal would be an understatement. Massive grip and barely any body roll. I’ve driven it for the past few months but until you actually push the car you just don’t know how great it is.

Finally got my car back from the dealer after 2 weeks. Broken 1-2 shift fork and a few other items.

Now that I have it back and the weather is starting to cool down I need to get these SC2s off and replaced with something that I can drive the car in the winter. What has everyone decided to put on their cars for the winter? I see a real lack of stock size in a AT or Winter tire. The only option I am finding is drop down to a 285/30/19 but even that is close with the 11.5in rear wheels on the PP2!

I haven't been able to find anything but summer only tires for these rims. I figure I have about 4 - 6 weeks and then it's time to park her in the garage for a few months.

Aren't the PP2 wheels 10.5" wide (front) and 11" wide (rear)?

That would give you 285/35 as an option that no tire shop should refuse to mount (285/35's are OK'ed out to 11"). Even 275/35's are OK'ed for 11's.

You're probably going to be better off sourcing a set of 19x10's and finding a tire size or sizes for that width that more or less match the PP2 tire diameter. A little taller (bigger diameter) would probably be better than any amount shorter.

I'm not sure if this will fit your bill or not, but I've seen more than a few people switch to Pilot Sport 4S's, either 305/30's all around, or with a 325/30 out back.

That's still a max performance summer tire, isn't it?

Yes. But it's a step or two back from the "weenie R-compound" level that describes the PSC2. In an area where snow and temperatures much below 40F are rarities or you have alternative transportation for when they do occur, either PS4S or PSS might be do-able choices
