My car has 4500 miles on it and I noticed for the last 500 miles when I brake from 60mph and higher the steering wheel shakes. Is not a vilont shake but you can defiantly feel it. It gets worst if I am going faster.

I want to take it in but my calipers are painted yellow and I am afraid they might reject it even we all know it has nothing to do with it.

I never track my car or drive crazy. I have done 2 high speed runs and had to brake suddenly from 120mph or so when the car had 2000 miles or so.

Rotors seem fine from outside no hot spots or anything.

Any of the members here have or had the same issue?

My car is pretty much stock except for the outlaws ( axle back).

Agree with above. You could try a couple things. First, you might be able to simply burnish you brakes, which can sometimes smooth out uneven deposits. The chances of success will depend on how deep the deposits extend into the rotor face.

Another option is to resurface the rotors, which is usually not too expensive, aside from the labor required to pull the rotors off and put them back on. Depending on you comfort level with wrenching on your car, you might be able to do much of that yourself.

Rotors can warp. had 2 on my Raptor. Cheap china steel used for rotors. I have also had chunks come out of them. If you brake too long and hard the rotors will get hot and potentially warp. Mine were covered under warranty twice.

Did you by chance lose any wheel weights? You may have a wheel out of balance

About a month after I got my car I clipped the edge of concrete divider with the front right tire at about 10-15mph. I stopped and checked everything out and everything seemed fine.

I noticed the car would pull slightly to left at highway speeds and when under moderate braking the wheel would shake a little so i decided get the alignment checked.

Sure enough, it was slightly out of alignment and getting it back into specs cured both problems.

It's highly unlikely that your rotors are warped. I have had brembos on 3 other cars and had this same thing happen. Though it was usually after a pad change and caused by the pads needed to be bedded a little better. Unless you have tracked the car and gotten the brake temp up really high, you probably have some sort of debris somewhere. Keep in mind, if you're missing a weight on your wheel you will feel the shake of the wheel at speed on the freeway as well.

If that's the case then you will need to inspect the pads and clean up the rotors. The pads will probably need to be bedded once they're reinstalled. If you're not familiar with the bedding process for the pads on brembos, I suggest calling a local speed shop for some advice. Hope my prior experience with this headache helps ya!

They resurfaced the rotors and sand down the pads a little.

Should I go ahead and bed them in?
