Hey gang... fairly newish Mustang owner here (again... my first car was a Mustang as well) and just got some interesting news. A family member has my dream vehicle... and early 80's Jeep CJ-7 that he wants to get rid of, but he knows how much I love that Jeep and is willing to sell it to me for far below what it's worth.

I can't afford both, and I'm considering selling the Mustang, but I'm looking to get some feedback/advice from everyone here.

She's a 2015 GT Premium Vert with only 25k miles. Well maintained, clean, automatic (wife can't drive stick). Leather, sync, nav, heated/cooled seats, 3.55 rear end, Manga Flow street exhaust with x pipe.

Realistically, what do you think I could get for it? If I can sell it for 28k I'd do it tomorrow and pick up the Jeep without any heartache, even though I absolutely love this car. Is that a reasonable goal or an I just dreaming?

You should be able to get close. Similar mileage to my '15 when I traded it in. Had a few aftermarket parts on mine but they give you absolutely dick for that stuff. If you have the time and you're not putting the money towards another car, you'd likely easily get that from a private sale, maybe even more.

I ran it quick through KBB given what you posted and it tops out around 26. So you'll probably have to hunt for that extra few thousand if you really need it, though I'm guessing you're still paying it off which means in the time it'd take you to sell it privately, you'll lose that money in payments and insurance.

I appreciate the input! I ran it through CarGurus and KBB, here's what I got. I have no idea what CarGuru's Instant Market Value means versus their other values.
