Apparently this issue is class as a "hold" issue and as such they wont be allowed to deliver any new cars without the fix being in place. As said previously its a really easy fix, just needs the right materials.

Sounds good on that front, was more speaking on behalf of those who've had their cars built with this 'issue' on ETIS, or that have recieved recently, just worth checking over with the dealer, i'd sooner be without my mustang for a day than a few months / it being written off.

Yeah mate I understand

From what the dealer principle said this morning they are trying to contact as many of their customers as possible to start booking them in.

In fact the parts are still waiting for delivery (today we hope), which is holding up my delivery today :D but as you say an extra day while they sort it isnt a biggie

Wasn't the issue only related to the GT with RHD modified headers?. Ecoboosts were not affected.

Lool, wouldn't expect this for all dealers, they seem to just do their own thing. At least yours sounds competant somewhat.
SSC different issues, this is in reference to the wiring loom which I believe effects all models, the headers issue was one that stopped production of the 5Ls and allowed EBs to shorten their wait time as a lot got completed during this holdback (Hense why you see EB owners like myself with far shorter wait times than GT owners)

Agree with SSC the wiring loom only impacts GTs; the following was posted by elsewhere by:-

FOR INFO ONLY. YOUR DEALER WILL PROACTIVELY CONTACT YOU.

A number of Right Hand drive 5.0L Mustang vehicles may have reduced clearance between the battery cable wiring loom and the exhaust manifold. There is a possibility that the wiring could contact the manifold and result a short circuit.

To avoid the possibility of the loom contacting the manifold affected vehicles must be inspected and have the loom secured using an additional clip to ensure a minimum clearance is maintained.

Vehicles Affected

Affected vehicles will be identified on OASIS.

Mustang -- 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 (308kW/418PS), RHD RWD Flatrock Assembly Plant - USA (AAGCL) 23/2/2015 1/12/2015

Dealer action

On receipt of this Bulletin, you are under obligation to inspect affected vehicles and rework if required. Affected vehicles must not be handed over to a customer until the check/rework has been completed. If you are able to contact customers who already have a vehicle please also arrange to have the check/rework completed on their vehicle.

Details of this check/rework, parts required and reimbursement procedures are contained in the Service Instructions. If a vehicle is found to have damage to the wiring loom, the vehicle must not be released or sale until the damage has been repaired or the loom replaced.

I would have thought that the requirement was for maximum clearance to be maintained:D:lol:

It would be minimum mate as you want it kept at least a certain distance away from the manifold i.e. 250mm or more so minimum would be 250mm for example.

avocet did the boys at dunton have the parts already in stock for when you came in to get it checked or were they ordered before your arrival? I am being told they have ordered the parts pack yesterday but it's literally a bit of foil and 2 cable ties that I could have given them last night
