So for owners they may still be waiting for the fix and for future owners to check, I believe this is the fix (foil and cable tie in the pic)

That makes no sense why they had to take your intake off. The fix was to be applied to the right hand side because that was the manifold modified to get around the steering column, which is obviously on the right hand side of the car (looking forwards from the drivers seat).

Not sure about that, my filter was removed to do the fix on the rhs looking into the engine bay.I saw the Ford directive on that, it's somewhere near the battery cable going down and the alternator!
Nothing to do with the steering column side.

Oh ok so it was actually the relocation of the battery and cables to the passenger side that's caused the cables to be close to the engine manifold. Will see if I can get a clear shot of that side as well for other owners etc. Sucks that they managed to break that and yours was done by the dunton mechanic where as mine was done by the PDI mechanic at Rayleigh.

Luck of the draw I'm afraid, and to keep warranty I guess they have to be ford servicing.

You do not need to take your car to ford for servicing. Any VAT mechanic using ford parts can service your car and not void warranty.

Steer clear of the stealers
