Positive battery cable corroded off

This is why I don't put the 3 battery cover push-pins back in. I can just lift the battery cover off anytime I want a lot quicker for battery terminal inspection.

Should this be a warranty item? Dealer saying $200 IF they don’t have to replace whole cable to the starter.
