I think I read in the early 15' Mustang announcements that it would have pedals that could be positioned to the drives preference. Did that ever make it to the production cars? If it did, how are the pedals moved?

Not that I've seen or heard. The steering wheel tilts and telescopes now, unlike before which only had tilt.

This would be a cool feature but with the telescoping steering wheel I'm hoping anyone can find a comfortable position. I've yet to sit in the driver's seat to find out tho.

I'd like the ability to lower the engagement point or grab point for the clutch pedal, bring it toward the end of the pedal's travel arc, closer to the floor. I want to able to finesse the clutch pedal with my leg extended.

I've driven cars with this setup in the past, mostly Japanese cars. Take the clutch pedal all the way to the floor and as you're coming back off of the pedal, that engagement point is just a few inches from the floorboard, making it really easy to finesse like a graceful dancer and shift nice and smooth.

The 2015 Mustang's clutch engagement point is high, near the top of the pedal, several inches away from the floorboard, in fact only a few inches away from the pedal's natural resting position. There's no real need to take the clutch pedal all the way to the floor, all the finesse is applied with depression of the pedal. I find it to be less comfortable than other manuals I've driven. Perhaps I'm a victim of habit given that my first car and every manual I've driven since have had that lower clutch grab point. I sure would like the ability to adjust that, especially with the traffic in Los Angeles. It's turning me off of getting the manual the way it is now.

I think it is a preference thing. In my 350Z I have the engagement point set very near the top of travel (sounds like I would like the Mustang!).

This works well on the Z for me due to how the clutch pedal force aligns with the engagement point. When I had the engagement point closer to the center of travel, the pedal force would be increasing as you released it, which made getting a smooth shift more difficult for me. As the pedal reaches the end of travel, the force seems to be more constant, so having the engagement point at the end of travel allows me to have a smoother engagement.

Also, it allows for faster shifts because the clutch will release with only a small amount of pedal motion, letting you get the shift off more quickly.

It is likely that a shop (or maybe even you) could adjust the clutch engagement point to better match your personal preference. Not sure how to do that on the Mustang.
