Hey Jay, the 18x10 is offered specifically for the track day customer as it will be one of the only 18" out there that will clear the GT PP brakes. The BBS World Challenge wheel is the only one outside of custom Forged wheels that I am aware of that will currently clear.A 19x10/ 19x10.5 or even an 11 in the rear would be awesome. 18x11 square would be pretty sweet too![]()
Issue with 18x10 is your going towards a certain market and that's those who typically track their cars.
We will know more once we get our own to play with, but for the purposes of the SEMA measuring session we brought a 20x10 et40 that had enough room to tightly fit a pencil in between the strut and wheel - approx 7 to 10mm. Out board, with the 10" et40 there is 12mm of room to move out. However there is a 5mm rolled fender lip to account for up front, so to avoid issues you could go another 7mm out. In a nut-shell, you could fit 10.5" up front, but 11" will need some decent mods, which very well may mean trimming or removing the fender liner for lock to lock clearance. Yes indeed though, Cortex has their hands on it and will have answers soon. The interesting thing I noticed on the 15 I looked at yesterday was that the rear fender lip is now rolled tight which is great for clearance. I never saw anyone mention that before. :ford: the front is definitely the limiting factor until I install some Cortex offset coilovers and or remove my fender liners
@flow-form what was the biggest size you were able to fit with the stock suspension up front?
