Wondering if hood pins would eliminate my bouncing hood after grill delete. Has anyone installed hood pins and eliminated the hood bouncing as a result? Obviously putting the original grill back in or getting a vented hood are fixes for this as well, but I'm aware of those options.

Thought I mas imagining it in just the changing scenery reflecting off my hood but pretty sure mine bounces as well. I would like it to NOT do that lol

Agree. In high winds on the highway, it's unnerving. I don't want to install hood pins just to find out they are inadequate. I found a few posts on here that confirm they stopped their hoods from shaking, but they all had stock grilles.

I read that, but I'm skeptical. I suppose it's worth a shot - they're cheap and they still do what they're supposed to, even if they don't solve the problem.

I kind of was thinking the same thing. Because they're convenient for opening the hood anyway, and they look nice. so if they fix the issue as well to me that just a secondary benefit.

I find it a bit weird as far as the airflow goes. The area around the wipers looks open from the hood area. I wonder if taking out that seal on the back side of the hood would flow more air out the back of the hood? Might cause some wind noise though.

Yeah, I was looking at a hood picture earlier and though the same thing. I think I'll pull that seal and see what happens. I doubt that crack would be enough to offset the gaping maw I created by deleting the grill, but hey, it's free to try.

Let me see your grill.

Yeah, I thought about it because I thought someone had forgot to put the front cowl back on last time it was at the dealership during a windshield leak repair. Turns it out it wasn't.

I was thinking about it earlier. What if you were to take some of that black window solar guard stuff and drap it over both smaller inlets? Just to slow down the air flow kind of like the blocked honeycomb

I get hood shaking with my unmodified 50th Anniversary grille and also got it with my stock V6 one, don't think it really is tied just to the grille deletes.

In my case, it is. The hood didn't move until I installed grill deletes.

That might work, but then I may as well just change the grille.
